About Us

Creative Home Concepts, a family owned operation, was established in 1996 by Bryan Smith and Shannon Horan. As a brother/sister team, we chose to put our education and experience to use. We jumped right into building custom homes for first or second time home buyers and have expanded from there.

Bryan is constantly on the job making sure that work is completed in a timely manner and in a fashion that exceeds the homeowner's expectations. We value our clients' interest in building their custom home and respect the financial responsibility involved in the process. With this in mind, we know that communication between the homeowner and contractor is crucial. It is for this reason that, if you have a question, Bryan is available on-site or via phone at all times during construction.

We realize that, while the structural components of a house are important to its value, it is the interior finishes that truly make it a home. Shannon also assists homeowners in the selection of these finishes to include, but not limited to, the cabinets, floors, appliances and plumbing/lighting fixtures. The final product is more than a house, but a home that matches the individuals' taste and personality. Creative Home Concepts works closely with respected, Richmond-based architects. Our architects will put your ideas and needs on paper and will produce a home design that is truly custom made for your lifestyle.

We have built all over Richmond and the surrounding areas. Our scope of work does not just include new construction, but also additions and renovations. In 2009, we decided to expand our renovations and additions division. Knowing we needed to maintain the same level of attention to our clients, we chose to bring on board Anthony Miller to head up the Additions/Renovations Division. Bryan and Anthony work together to make sure that all of our homeowners are satisfied with the final product. We strive to bring the same level of customer service that we offer in new construction

Creative Home Concepts is aware that the housing industry is constantly evolving. We focus on making a house a complete system, allowing it to be a healthy, as well as efficient home for your family. Education is vital to maintain a current understanding of products and trends. Bryan and Anthony attend classes regularly on new/updated building codes as well as being LEAD certified. We strive to stay aware of new technologies and innovative systems, but always maintaining quality as a primary goal.
